Childcare With A Difference
Nayana Betchar, Director/Founder
My name is Nayana Betchar, a pre-school teacher and mother from England with over 18 years in the childcare profession. Happy Faces Daycare was founded in 1990 and has since prided itself in being a small, homey and personal daycare. Truly a "Home away from Home". If like myself, your research, experiences and disappointments lead you to look for something different, "something more caring, more homely, more trusting but at the same time still fun, educational and constructive", then come and visit us. Peace and happiness is not only important for child but parent too.

Located at 13923 Braddock Road, in Centreville, Happy Faces Daycare is the recently restored historic building known as the "Hardee Chambliss House". Built just after the turn of the century, this house first served the Centreville community as a general store. Later it became the home of Bess Truman's dress maker who raised eight children in this Victorian dwelling. Its most prominent occupant was Hardee Chambliss, great grandson of the famous Confederate General William Hardee. In addition to being rich in history, the house is also rich in architectural detailing with its intricate cornice work and interior and exterior moldings, and its pine flooring and main staircase.
