Which Comes First, The Book or the Movie.
By: Donna Worthy

http://www.watch-movie.net. It’s a site that I stumbled upon when looking for sufrthechannel.com. I found that it has huge amount of movies that can be watching without any sort of downloading needed. Some that haven’t even hit theaters yet. I haven’t quite figured out how this is legal but I suppose that’s not my business to handle. Anyway, moving right along… about two months ago I read “The Secret Life Of Bees”. I was so wound up in it I could hardly put it down. It was a page turner for sure. After watching the movie I won’t say that I was disappointed but I will say that I was a little on the bored side. Don’t get me wrong, the movie was good and the acting in it was wonderful. I just feel like with the book my mind was able to create the scene in my own detail and see it my head the same way that I felt it in my heart. When watching a movie we are forced to see things the way the producers see fit which takes a lot away from the feeling that can be involved. Especially in movies that are like this one. Filled with emotion and anticipation of what will become of each caricature. Of course there are other aspects to the pro’s and con’s as well. With a book you are able dog ear it or put your book marker in when you need to stop. Because it is deeply embedded in your mind by your own created images it is very easy to pick up where you left off. Unfortunately when watching a movie it is not quite as easy to pick up depending on the time in between stopping it and going back to it. I also like the fact that a book is entertainment for much longer than a movie. Unless you are a speed reader of course! Usually most books allow you about a week or two of good reading. A movie is considered to be “long” if it is anything over 90 to 120 minutes! On the flip side of things some people find it much more entertaining to have fun and move on to the next source of entertainment. When it is all watched and read it is a matter of opinion for each person. I think in writing this article I have to say the book takes the cake in my competition!

The book or the movie? Which one should come first? Some say the movie because it isn’t as descriptive and it allows the mind to relax while watching it. Others say the book is best for the exact same reason. Reading the book first gives you a little more fact and details to go on and instead of playing the guessing game, it makes watching the movies a little easier and more enjoyable I’m not quite sure which I prefer or if I even have a preference. Before deciding to write this article I ask a few of my friends on MySpace what they thought was best. I just finished watching The Secret Life Of Bees this morning on
